NRI Papers

Privacy Policy

Effective date: 2 August 2026

The short version: NRI Papers collects nothing. The app has no servers, no accounts, and no analytics. Everything you put into it stays on your device.

What we collect

Nothing. NRI Papers does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any data. The app makes no network calls.

There are two exceptions, and both happen only when you choose them.

The first exception is official links: if you tap a link to an official government source, the link opens in your browser. At that point you are on the government's website, and their privacy practices apply. The app itself sends nothing.

The second exception is in-app purchases. If you buy NRI Papers Pro, the purchase is processed by Apple through the App Store. Apple handles the transaction and payment data under Apple's own privacy policy. We receive no personal data from purchases — no name, no email, no payment details.

Data storage

Everything you add to NRI Papers — documents, dates, notes, reminders — is stored on your device only. It is protected by iOS Data Protection, the file-level encryption built into your iPhone or iPad.

We cannot see your data. We have no servers, so there is nowhere for it to go.

Face ID, Touch ID, and reminders

If you lock the app with Face ID or Touch ID, the matching happens entirely on your device, handled by the system. The app never sees your biometric data — it only learns whether the unlock succeeded.

Reminders are local notifications, scheduled on your device by the app. They are sent to no one and pass through no server.

Backups

Your data is included only in your own device backups — for example, an iCloud backup or an encrypted backup you make on your computer. Those backups belong to you and are managed by Apple and your own settings, not by us.

If you delete the app, its data on the device is deleted with it.

Children

NRI Papers is not directed at children and does not knowingly handle information about anyone, of any age. Because the app collects nothing, there is no data about children — or anyone else — for us to hold.

Changes to this policy

If we ever change this policy, we will update this page and the effective date above. Because the app works offline, a change in policy will never quietly change what the app does — the app simply has no way to send data anywhere.
